Brings home a cake and cuts it into four equal pieces. He then takes one piece and leaves the remaining three pieces on the table. After a while, B comes and sees the cake on the table, he assumes that A has left one piece for him and takes one piece. Later, C comes and also assumes that A has left one piece for him and takes one piece. Finally, D comes and takes the last remaining piece of cake.

However, when A comes back and sees that there is no cake left for him, he gets angry and confronts his friends. He argues that he brought the cake and he should have the right to decide how it will be divided. His friends apologize and agree to share the next cake equally among themselves.

From this situation, we can conclude that communication and clear agreements are important in any shared living situation. It is important to discuss and agree on how resources will be divided to prevent misunderstandings and conflicts.
