Illness of Bismillah Khan

Bismillah Khan was a famous Indian musician who played the shehnai, a wind instrument. He was born in 1916 in Varanasi and began playing the shehnai at a young age. Lung Infection

In August 2006, Bismillah Khan was admitted to the Heritage Hospital again, this time with a lung infection. He was put on a ventilator, but his condition continued to deteriorate. On August 21, 2006, he passed away at the age of 90.
