The correct answer is b) Paramagnetic and Bond order 2.

According to molecular orbital theory, O2 has two unpaired electrons in its pi* antibonding orbital, which makes it paramagnetic. The bond order is calculated by subtracting the number of electrons in antibonding orbitals (2) from the number of electrons in bonding orbitals (8), and dividing by 2. Thus, the bond order of O2 is (8-2)/2 = 3. However, since O2 has two unpaired electrons, its bond order is divided by 2 to give a final bond order of 2.
