Calculation of balance amount per debenture at the first and final call:
- Total amount received from applicants = 5000 debentures * ₹40 = ₹2,00,000
- Total amount due on debentures = 5000 debentures * ₹120 = ₹6,00,000
- Total amount received after allotment = 5000 debentures * ₹40 = ₹2,00,000
- Balance amount to be received at the first and final call = Total amount due - Total amount received
- Balance amount per debenture = Balance amount to be received / Number of debentures

Calculation:
- Balance amount to be received = ₹6,00,000 - ₹2,00,000 = ₹4,00,000
- Balance amount per debenture = ₹4,00,000 / 5000 = ₹80
- Premium already received = ₹20 (on application) + ₹20 (on allotment) = ₹40
- Balance amount per debenture at the first and final call = ₹80 - ₹40 = ₹40
Therefore, the balance amount per debenture to be received at the first and final call is ₹40.
