Question no.’s 39 to 41 are based on the hypothetical situation ...
Calculation of Paid-up Share Capital

1. Initial Issue of Shares:
- Total number of shares issued = 2,00,000
- Nominal value per share = 100
- Total nominal value of shares issued = 2,00,000 * 100 = 2,00,00,000

2. Forfeiture of Shares:
- Number of shares forfeited = 9,000
- Amount unpaid on each forfeited share = Allotment (40) + First & Final Call (30) = 70
- Total amount forfeited = 9,000 * 70 = 6,30,000

3. Re-issuance of Shares:
- Number of shares re-issued = 5,000
- Re-issuance price per share = 80
- Total amount received from re-issuance = 5,000 * 80 = 4,00,000

4. Calculation of Paid-up Share Capital:
- Paid-up Share Capital = Total nominal value of shares issued - Total amount forfeited + Total amount received from re-issuance
- Paid-up Share Capital = 2,00,00,000 - 6,30,000 + 4,00,000
- Paid-up Share Capital = 1,96,00,000
Therefore, the correct amount of Paid-up Share Capital is 1,96,00,000.
