Verified Answer
Directions: Read data carefully and answer the following questions.Th...
Total employee = 52500
Male = 52500 × 3/5 = 31500
Female = (52500 - 31500) = 21000
S (M) = 31500 × 12/100 = 3780
U (M + F) = 52500 × 18/100 = 9450 ........ (i)
Q (F) = 21000 × 16.5/100 = 3465
P (M) = 31500 × 18/100 = 5670
R (M): R (F) = 2:3 ........... (ii)
T (M) = Q (F) × 120/100
T (M) = 3465 × 120/100 = 4158
P (F) = S (M) × 75/100
P (F) = 3780 × 75/100 = 2835
R (M + F) = U (M + F) × 120/100 ........ (from (i))
R (M + F) = 9450 × 120/100 = 11340
R (M) = 11340 × 2/5 = 4536 ......... (from (ii))
R (F) = 11340 - 4536 = 6804
Q (M):U (M) = 5:7
Let Q (M) be 5Y and U (M) be 7Y
Then,
(5Y + 7Y) = 31500 - (5670 + 4536 + 3780 + 4158) = 13356
12Y = 13356
Y = 1113
Then,
Q (M) = (5 × 1113) = 5565
U (M) = (7 × 1113) = 7791
U (F) = 9450 - 7791 = 1659
S (M) : S (F) = 4:5
We have: S (M) = 3780
S (F) = 3780 × 5/4 = 4725
T (F) = 21000 - (2835 + 3465 + 6804 + 4725 + 1659) = 1512
Based on above data we get:
Male employees from P joins company T = 5670 × 20/100 = 1134
Male employees from S joins company T = 3780 × 15/100 = 567
Total male employee joins company T = (1134 + 567) = 1701
Required percent change = 1701/5670 × 100 = 30%
