Suppose the number is 100, now if you increase it by 20% then the new number will be 120, the increased part is 20 and 25% of 20 is 5. So now if you decrease this 25% of increased portion (i.e. 5) from 120 the you'll get 115 and that is 15% more from your original number. so your answer will be (D) increase the number by 15%
