As per the statement, someone named Kumar is saying something in his defense. For the first blank, we have been given with three choices i.e. “proof”, “allegation” and “evidence”. Out of the above three words “allegation” gets eliminated because he is defending himself implies there are definitely some allegations against him. So, either “proof” or “evidence” is the correct choice for the first blank.
For the second blank, we have been given with two choices i.e. “instigating” and “causing”. A mob is simply a large crowd and “Causing a mob” doesn't makes sense thus 'causing' as an option is eliminated. So, “instigating” meaning 'inciting someone to do something, especially something bad' is the correct choice for the second blank.
Since only “evidence” has been in given in options along with “instigating” Option B is the correct answer.
