a) Number of girls in college B is 50% more than that of boys in college A, while number of students in college A is 300 less than that of college B.

b) One – fourth of total number of boys in all colleges together is 215, while number of students in college B is 800, which is 400 more than that of students in college C.

c) Number of boys in college A is 200.

Q. Find the difference between the number of students in FN stream of college B and C.

Number of boys in college A = 200

So, number of girls in college B = 150% x 200 = 300

Total number of students in college B = 800

So, total number of students in college C = 800 – 400 = 400

So, total number of students in college A = 800 - 300 = 500

Number of boys in college B = 800 – 300 = 500

Number of girls in college A = 500 – 200 = 300

Total number of boys in all the colleges together = 4 x 215 = 860

So, number of boys in college C = 860 – 200 – 500 = 160

So, number of girls in college C = 400 - 160 = 240

For college A,

Total boys = 200

Boys in MT = 120

So, boys in FN = 200 – 120 = 80

Total girls = 300

Girls in MT = 200

So, girls in FN = 300 – 200 = 100

For college B,

Total boys = 500

Boys in MT = 300

So, boys in FN = 500 – 300 = 200

Total girls = 300

Girls in MT = 180

So, girls in FN = 300 – 180 = 120

For college C,

Total boys = 160

Boys in MT = 60

So, boys in FN = 160 – 60 = 100

Total girls = 240

Girls in MT = 40

So, girls in FN = 240 – 40 = 200

Number of students in FN stream of college B = 200 + 120 = 320

Number of girls in FN stream of college C = 100 + 200 = 300

Required difference = 320 – 300 = 20
