Solution:
Let the two numbers be x and y, where x is the first number and y is the second number. Then according to the problem statement, we have:

2x + 3y = 3(5x/3 - y)

Simplifying this equation, we get:

2x + 3y = 5x - 3y

Adding 3y to both sides, we get:

2x + 6y = 5x

Subtracting 2x from both sides, we get:

4y = 3x

Dividing both sides by y, we get:

x/y = 3/4

Therefore, the ratio of the first and second number is 3:4 or 12:16, which simplifies to 12:13.

Answer: The ratio of the first and second number is 12:13, therefore the correct option is (A) 12:13.
