Time taken by A to complete the work = 40 days

Time taken by B to complete the work = 20 days

Time taken by C to complete the work = 30 days

Time taken by D to complete the work = 20 days

Since, efficiency is inversely proportional to the number of days taken.

So, ratio of efficiency of B: C = 30:20 = 3:2

Number of days taken by all of them together to complete the work = 1/ (1/20 + 1/40 + 1/30 + 1/20)

= 120/19 days
