Directions: Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below.
Five persons A, B, C, D and E deposited different amounts in SBI and BOB in a day. A deposited Rs.500 more in BOB than the amount he deposited in SBI. Average deposit in BOB of A and B together is Rs.2500, which is equal to the 50% of the deposit amount of C in BOB. Ratio of amount deposited by D in SBI and BOB is 9:11. Amount of C, which he deposited in SBI is double of amount E deposited in SBI. E deposited 50% more in BOB than in SBI. Average amount of deposit of D and E together in SBI is Rs.3250. B’s deposited amount in SBI is five times of the amount he deposited in BOB. Totally Rs.12500 was deposited by A and B together in SBI. C deposited 20% less amount in SBI than the amount he deposited in BOB.

Calculation:

Amount deposited by A and B in SBI:
Let the amount deposited by A in SBI be x.
Amount deposited by A in BOB = x + 500
Amount deposited by B in SBI = 5x
Amount deposited by B in BOB = x
Given, total amount deposited by A and B in SBI = Rs.12500
x + 5x = 12500
6x = 12500
x = 2083.33 (approx)
Amount deposited by A in SBI = Rs.2083.33
Amount deposited by A in BOB = Rs.2583.33
Amount deposited by B in SBI = Rs.10416.67
Amount deposited by B in BOB = Rs.2083.33

Amount deposited by D and E in SBI:
Let the amount deposited by D in SBI be 9y and in BOB be 11y
Let the amount deposited by E in SBI be z and in BOB be 1.5z
Given, average amount deposited by D and E in SBI = Rs.3250
(9y + z)/2 = 3250
9y + z = 6500 ----(1)

Amount deposited by C in SBI and BOB:
Let the amount deposited by C in SBI be 2m and in BOB be m
Given, C deposited 20% less in SBI than in BOB
2m = 0.8m
m = 2m/0.8 = 2.5m

Amount deposited by C in BOB:
Average deposit of A and B in BOB = Rs.2500
(Amount deposited by A in BOB + Amount deposited by B in BOB)/2 = 2500
(2583.33 + 2083.33)/2 = 2500
4666.67/2 = 2500
4666.67 = 50% of amount deposited by C in BOB
50% of m = 4666.67
m = 9333.34

Final Calculation:
From (1), we have 9y + z = 6500
Substitute z = 2.5m = 2.5 * 9333.34 = 23333.34
9y + 23333.34 = 6500
9y = 6500 - 23333.34
9y = 16833.34
y = 1870.37 (approx)
Total amount deposited by D and E in SBI = 9y + z = 9 * 1870.37 + 23333.34 = Rs.42143.34
Total amount deposited by A and B in both banks = 2083.33 + 2583.33 + 10416.67 + 2083.33 = Rs.15066.67
Difference = 15066.67 - 42143.34 = Rs.2500
Therefore, the difference between the total amount deposited by A and B together in both banks and the total amount deposited by D and E together in both banks is Rs.2500.

Deposit amount of B in SBI is = [4500 - x] x 5
So, we can say, [4500 - x] x 5 + x = 12500
Or, 4x = 10000. Or, x = 2500.
Required difference
= [2500 + 3000 + 10000 + 2000] - [4500 + 5500 + 2000 + 3000]
= Rs.2500
