The main verb is looked which is being modified by the adverb of manner (shy); hence the word must be in its adverbial form. Hence, the given sentence is incorrect.
For the same reason, i gets eliminated.
Phrase ii - It uses the adverbial form shyly; hence is correct.
Phrase iii - It uses the noun form and the preposition which makes the structure different but conveys the same meaning.
The adverb ‘shyly’ does not need any preposition before it whereas the noun ‘shyness’ needs the preposition ‘with’ to precede it.
Hence, Both ii and iii is the correct answer.
