Describe the process of fertilization in human being?
Fertilization in Human Beings
Fertilization is the process by which the sperm from the male fuses with the egg from the female resulting in the formation of a zygote. In humans, fertilization typically occurs in the fallopian tube. The process of fertilization can be broken down into the following steps:
Step 1: Ovulation
Ovulation is the process by which the matured egg is released from the ovary and gets into the fallopian tube. This occurs around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle.
Step 2: Sperm Penetration
During sexual intercourse, the sperm is deposited into the female reproductive tract. The sperm then make their way up into the fallopian tube where the egg is located. The sperm use their tail-like structures to swim towards the egg.
Step 3: Fusion of Egg and Sperm
Once the sperm reaches the egg, it penetrates the outer membrane of the egg and fuses with it. This is called fertilization. The fusion of the egg and sperm forms a zygote.
Step 4: Formation of Zygote
Once the egg and sperm have fused, the zygote undergoes a series of cell divisions as it moves down the fallopian tube towards the uterus. The zygote becomes a blastocyst, which is a ball of cells with an inner cavity called the blastocoel.
Step 5: Implantation
The blastocyst eventually reaches the uterus, where it implants into the uterine lining. The blastocyst secretes enzymes that allow it to burrow into the lining of the uterus. Once implanted, the blastocyst begins to develop into an embryo.
In conclusion, fertilization is a complex process that requires the fusion of the sperm and egg resulting in the formation of a zygote. Once the zygote implants into the uterus, it develops into an embryo and eventually a fetus.
Describe the process of fertilization in human being?
Fertilization take place in the internal part of oviduct . the sperm and ovum fuse . This fusion of sperm and egg is called fertilization . Since it take place inside the body of female so it is termed as internal fertilization. During this process the nucleus is sperm and egg rolls of used to form a single nucleus . The resultant single cell formed after fertilization is called a zygote . The zygote immediately divide into two cells , B cells can divide again and again over the next couple of day as a cluster of cell make its way to the uterus the cluster of cell is called embryo . The embryo at this stage when it's our body parts define .is called foetus .
