The ratio of the cost price to the selling price of an article is 4 ...
Let the CP = 4x then, SP = 5x
Let MP = 2y then SP = 3y = 5x
y = 5x/3
The ratio of CP : SP : MP = 4x : 5x : 2 × 5x/3 = 12 : 15 : 10
When MP = 10x
then profit = 15x – 12x = 3x
When MP = 10 × 4 = Rs. 40
Then Profit = 4 × 3 = Rs. 12
The total profit by selling 44 such article = Rs. 44 × 12 = Rs. 528
