Every psychometric chart includes vertical lines that represent the dry bulb temperatures, diagonals line represents wet bulb temperature and curved lines represent relative humidity.
Dry Bulb Temperature: Actual temperature of gas or mixture of gasses.
Wet Bulb temperature: Temperature obtained by an accurate thermometer having a wick moistened with distilled water
Dew point temperature: Temperature at which the liquid droplets just appear when the moist air is cooled continuously.
Relative humidity along the saturation line is 100%.
Following observations can be made from the psychometric chart
If relative humidity has not to change with the temperature then its specific humidity will not remain constant.
If air is saturated then its relative humidity is 100% that means it can't absorb more moisture, therefore if it will be made to pass over the water it will not absorb the moisture consequently its temperature will not change.
If air is saturated then its dry bulb temperature, wet bulb temperature and dew point temperature all are the same.

    Correct Statements Explained:

    1. Relative Humidity and Specific Humidity:
    - The relative humidity of air does not change with temperature as long as specific humidity remains constant.
    - This statement is correct because relative humidity is the ratio of the current water vapor content of the air to the maximum possible water vapor content at that temperature. As long as the specific humidity, which is the actual amount of water vapor in the air, remains constant, the relative humidity will also remain constant regardless of changes in temperature.

    2. Dew-Point Temperature:
    - Dew-point temperature is the temperature at which air is cooled at constant volume.
    - This statement is also correct because the dew-point temperature is the temperature at which air becomes saturated with water vapor and starts to condense. This occurs when air is cooled at constant volume, leading to the formation of dew or fog.

    Incorrect Statements Explained:

    3. Saturated Air and Temperature:
    - Saturated air passing over a water surface does not cause a change of air temperature.
    - This statement is incorrect because when saturated air comes into contact with a water surface, it can exchange heat with the water, leading to a change in air temperature. This process is known as evaporation or condensation, depending on the initial temperature of the air.

    4. Dry Bulb, Wet Bulb, and Dew Point Temperatures:
    - For saturated air, dry bulb, wet bulb, and dew point temperatures are identical.
    - This statement is incorrect because the dry bulb temperature is the actual temperature of the air, the wet bulb temperature is the temperature at which water evaporates from a wet surface, and the dew point temperature is the temperature at which air becomes saturated. In saturated air, these temperatures may be close but are not necessarily identical.
