Width of interval/segment,
h=(π−0)/4=π/4
Now, if f(x)=sin2x, then,
f(0)=sin2(0)=0
f(π/4)=sin2(π/4)=1/2
f(2π/4)=sin2(π/2)=1
f(3π/4)=sin2(3π/4)=1/2
f(4π/4)=sin2(π)=0
Then, as per trapezoidal rule,
I=h/2[f(0)+f(π)+2(f(π/4)+f(π/2)+f(3π/4))]
I = π/8[2x2]
I = π/8 x 4 = π/2
