The sum of the 90-degree bond angles in a square pyramidal geometry is 360 degrees. Since there are four 90-degree bond angles in a square pyramidal complex, the sum of the 90-degree bond angles would be 4 * 90 = 360 degrees.

The sum of the 90-degree bond angles in a trigonal bipyramidal geometry is also 360 degrees. However, in a trigonal bipyramidal complex, there are only three 90-degree bond angles. Therefore, the sum of the 90-degree bond angles would be 3 * 90 = 270 degrees.

So, the sum of the 90-degree bond angles in the square pyramidal complex is greater than the sum of the 90-degree bond angles in the trigonal bipyramidal complex.
