Nickel is purified by Mond's process. Copper is refined by using electrolytic reduction. Van-Arkel process is used for ultrapure metals like Titanium, Zirconium, etc. Zone refining is employed to get metal of very high purity. Semi conductors like Ga, Si etc., are refined by Zone refining.
