Impedance Calculation:
Impedance is the total opposition to the flow of alternating current in a circuit. In a series circuit, the impedance is the vector sum of resistance, inductive reactance and capacitive reactance.

Given Values:
- Resistance (R) = 100 Ω
- Inductance (L) = 0.5 H
- Capacitance (C) = 10 x 10^-6 F
- Frequency (f) = 50 Hz

Impedance Calculation Formula:
Z = √(R^2 + (XL - XC)^2)

Calculations:
- XL = 2πfL = 2 x 3.14 x 50 x 0.5 = 157 Ω (inductive reactance)
- XC = 1 / (2πfC) = 1 / (2 x 3.14 x 50 x 10 x 10^-6) = 3183 Ω (capacitive reactance)
- Z = √(100^2 + (157 - 3183)^2)
- Z = √(10000 + 3025)
- Z = √13025
- Z = 114.1 Ω
Therefore, the impedance of the circuit is approximately 114 Ω, which is closest to option B - 190 Ω.
