"Unclaimed Dividend" in the balance sheet of a company. It represents the amount of dividend that has been declared by the company but has not been claimed by the shareholders. This amount remains with the company until the shareholders claim it. The company is required to keep a record of unclaimed dividends and make efforts to reach out to the shareholders to claim their dividend. If the dividend remains unclaimed for a certain period of time, it may be transferred to a separate fund called the "unclaimed dividend fund" as per the regulations of the government or regulatory authorities.
