Direction: Read the following paragraph carefully and answer the foll...
Let male and female employees working in A, B and C branches be (P and Q), (M and N) and (E and F) respectively.
The difference between the male and female employees in A branch is 1000.
? P – Q = 1000 .............(1)
The male employees of A branch are 25% more than the female employees of the same branch.
? P = Q × 125/100 .............(2)
Substituting the value of equation (2) in equation (1),
Therefore,
From equation (1),
? P = 5000 and Q = 4000
Total of 10000 employees working in branch B.
? M + N = 10000
The average number of female and male employees in the C branch is 7000.
The difference between the male employees of C branch and A branch is 3000.
? E = 5000 + 3000 = 8000
? F = 14000 – 8000 = 6000
Female employees of B branch are half of the female employees of C branch.
Therefore,
M + N = 10000
? M + 3000 = 10000
? M = 7000
Total number of male employees including three branches = 5000 + 7000 + 8000 = 20000
Total number of female employees including three branches = 4000 + 3000 + 6000 = 13000
