• echo is a single reflection of sound wave while reverberation is a multiple reflections of sound•echo can be heard only when distance between source and reflecting body is 17.2 m but reverberation can occur when sound reflected by nearby also•echo clearly distinguished while reverberation is a clear replica of original sound
