Time Limits for Each Section of the IBPS PO Exam
The IBPS PO Exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the recruitment of Probationary Officers in various public sector banks in India. The exam consists of three main sections: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview. Each section has its own time limits, which are as follows:
Preliminary Exam:
- English Language - 20 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude - 20 minutes
- Reasoning Ability - 20 minutes
The Preliminary Exam is the first stage of the selection process. It is conducted online and consists of multiple-choice questions. The time limits for each section are fixed, and candidates must complete each section within the given time frame. Once the time for a particular section is over, candidates cannot go back to that section.
Main Exam:
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude - 45 minutes
- General/Economy/Banking Awareness - 35 minutes
- English Language - 40 minutes
- Data Analysis & Interpretation - 45 minutes
The Main Exam is the second stage of the selection process. It also consists of multiple-choice questions and is conducted online. Each section has a specific time limit, and candidates must complete the questions within the given time frame. Similar to the Preliminary Exam, candidates cannot go back to a section once the time for that section is over.
Interview:
The Interview is the final stage of the selection process. It is not a written exam but a face-to-face interview conducted by a panel of experts. There is no fixed time limit for the interview as it varies for each candidate. However, the duration of the interview is generally around 15-20 minutes.
It is important for candidates to manage their time effectively during the IBPS PO Exam. They should allocate time for each section based on their strengths and weaknesses. It is advisable to practice time-bound mock tests to improve speed and accuracy. Good time management skills can significantly enhance the chances of success in the exam.
In conclusion, the IBPS PO Exam has specific time limits for each section in both the Preliminary and Main exams. Candidates must complete the questions within the given time frame, and they cannot go back to a section once the time for that section is over. The Interview, on the other hand, does not have a fixed time limit. Effective time management is crucial for success in the exam.
