Mode of Payment for UGC NET Exam Application Fee

There are multiple modes of payment available for candidates to pay the UGC NET Exam application fee. These modes include online as well as offline options. Let us discuss each mode of payment in detail.

Online Modes of Payment:

1. Debit Card: Candidates can use their debit card to make the payment online. This is a convenient and fast mode of payment as the amount gets deducted directly from the candidate's bank account.

2. Credit Card: Another online mode of payment is through credit cards. Candidates can use their credit cards to pay the application fee. The amount will be added to the credit card bill, which can be paid later as per the cardholder's convenience.

3. Net Banking: Net banking is a widely used mode of payment for various online transactions. Candidates can choose this option and use their internet banking credentials to make the payment directly from their bank account.

4. UPI (Unified Payment Interface): UPI is a popular payment method that allows users to link multiple bank accounts to a single mobile application. Candidates can make the payment using UPI by scanning a QR code or entering the UPI ID provided during the application process.

Offline Modes of Payment:

1. Bank Challan: Candidates can choose the bank challan option to pay the application fee offline. After filling the application form online, they need to download the bank challan and visit the nearest designated bank branch to deposit the fee. The bank will provide a receipt after the successful payment.

2. E-Challan: Some banks provide the facility of e-challan where candidates can generate the challan online and pay the fee at any branch of the respective bank. The bank will update the payment status on the candidate's application portal after successful payment.

3. NEFT/RTGS: Candidates can also choose to pay the application fee through NEFT/RTGS. They need to initiate the transaction from their bank account by providing the necessary details such as beneficiary's account number, IFSC code, etc.

4. Demand Draft: In some cases, candidates may be required to pay the application fee through a demand draft. They need to make a demand draft in favor of the concerned authority and send it along with the application form to the specified address.
