Age Relaxation and Reservation in RBI Grade B ExamAge Relaxation
There are certain provisions for age relaxation in the RBI Grade B Exam, which are as follows:
1.
SC/ST Category: Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are eligible for age relaxation of up to 5 years.
2.
OBC Category: Candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category are eligible for age relaxation of up to 3 years.
3.
Ex-Servicemen: The age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen will be as per the government rules. The maximum age limit can be relaxed by the length of military service plus an additional 3 years.
4.
Jammu and Kashmir Domicile: Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989, are eligible for age relaxation of up to 5 years.
5.
Disability: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for age relaxation of up to 10 years.
Please note that the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate will be considered for determining the age eligibility of the candidates.
Reservation
The RBI Grade B Exam follows the reservation policy of the Government of India. The reservation is provided to candidates belonging to the following categories:

Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of the total vacancies are reserved for SC candidates.
2.
Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the total vacancies are reserved for ST candidates.
3.
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27% of the total vacancies are reserved for OBC candidates.
4.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% of the total vacancies are reserved for EWS candidates.
5.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 4% of the total vacancies are reserved for PwBD candidates, subject to their suitability for the post.
Candidates belonging to the reserved categories are required to submit the necessary caste/disability certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format as specified in the official notification.
