We have:
  • H sits third from the left end of row1 and sits third to the right of N.
  • K sits opposite to the one who sits immediate left of H.
That means, in case (1) K sits second from the left end of row2 and in case (2) K sits fourth from the left end of row2.
  • K sits second to the right of G, who faces the same direction as N.
That means in case (1)& case (2) G is facing south.
From the above conditions, we have

Again, we have:
  • D sits fourth to the right of I and vice-versa.
  • I sits at the right end of the row.
That means, in case (1) & case (2) D sits third from the left end of row2.
From the above conditions

Again, we have:
  • M sits third to the right of C, both are facing in the same direction.
  • C sits immediate left of J and vice-versa.
  • J sits exactly between H and E, who is facing north.
That means, in both conditions,  M sits at the left end of row1and is facing south.
  • The one who sits immediate right of A sits opposite to F.
  • Three persons are sitting between F and B.
That means, in case (1)  F sits at the left end of row2, case(2) is not valid
  • The persons sitting adjacent to B are facing the opposite direction to each other.
  • L and K are facing in the same direction but opposite direction to B.
That means K is facing north direction and since not more than two persons are facing the same direction are sitting together, thus F is facing south.
After applying all the above conditions, case 2 gets eliminated and case1 shows the final arrangement

Understanding the Seating Arrangement
To solve the problem, we need to visualize the arrangement of 14 persons in two parallel rows. Here's a detailed breakdown:
Row Positions
- Row 1 (North): H, J, E, C, A, K, G
- Row 2 (South): N, F, M, I, D, B, L
Key Insights from the Information Provided
- H is 3rd from the left in Row 1, meaning there are two persons to the left of H.
- N sits immediately to the left of H, making H the 3rd person in Row 1 and N the 1st person in Row 2.
- K sits opposite the 1st person in Row 1, which is H's left neighbor.
- G is positioned such that K is 2nd to the right of G and both face the same direction as N (who faces south).
- D and I are positioned opposite each other and maintain a 4-seat gap between them.
- E faces north, and J sits between H and E, giving us a clear direction for the arrangement.
Verification of Statements
- Statement a: E does not sit facing the one immediate left of L.
- Statement b: A and C do not sit together.
- Statement c: F does indeed sit second to the left of D, as per the arrangement.
- Statement d: J is not second to the left of M.
- Statement e: This is incorrect since statement c is true.
Conclusion
The correct answer is option 'C' because F sits second to the left of D, according to the seating arrangement derived from the clues given.
