Verified Answer
A ceremic tile measuring 50cm * 50cm has been designed to bear a press...
Given,
Side of tile = 50cm
First  we  change  it  to Metre
We know,
 1m = 100cm
100 cm = 1 m
1 cm = 1/100 m
50 cm = 50/100 m
50 cm = 1/2 m
50 cm = 0.5 m

Area  of  tile = (side)^2
                      = 0.5 x 0.5
Area of  tile  = 0.25 m^2
It is given that tile can carry a  pressure  of  200N/m^2. If  the  force applied  by this  pressure is  F,
F = Pressure x Area to tile
F = 200 x 0.25
F = 2 x  25
F =  50 N
Hence, It  can  withstand any  force less  than 50 N

A ceremic tile measuring 50cm * 50cm has been designed to bear a press...
Analysis:

To determine if the ceramic tile can withstand a force of 5N, we need to compare the force applied to the maximum pressure the tile can bear.

Given information:
- Dimensions of the ceramic tile: 50cm * 50cm
- Maximum pressure the tile can bear: 40N/m²

Calculations:

To calculate the maximum force the tile can bear, we need to convert the maximum pressure into a force per tile.

Step 1: Convert the dimensions of the tile into square meters.
The area of the tile = length * width = 50cm * 50cm = 2500cm²

Since the unit of pressure is N/m², we need to convert the area from cm² to m².
1m² = 10,000cm²
Therefore, the area of the tile in square meters = 2500cm² / 10,000 = 0.25m²

Step 2: Calculate the maximum force the tile can bear.
Maximum force = maximum pressure * area of the tile
Maximum force = 40N/m² * 0.25m²
Maximum force = 10N

Conclusion:

The ceramic tile has been designed to withstand a maximum force of 10N. Since the force applied is 5N, which is less than the maximum force the tile can bear, it will be able to withstand the force.

Therefore, the ceramic tile will be able to withstand a force of 5N.

A ceremic tile measuring 50cm * 50cm has been designed to bear a press...
Force = 5N
Area = 50cm x 50cm
           = 0.5m x 0.5m
             = 0.25m^2

P=F/A
= 5N/0.25m
= 500N/25m^2
= 20N/m^2 => 20pa

Hence, the time can withstand a force of 20N/m^2
