A New Delhi based company Y has five departments P, Q, R, S and T. The following pie chart gives the percentage of number of employees working in the given five departments out of a total of 6000 employees.

Each department has two designations for employees i.e., managers and clerks. The ratio of no. of managers to clerks in each department is given in the following table.
Q. The given company Y starts its new branches in Mumbai and Bangalore. For these branches, it transfers 20% of its managers from department P and 14% of clerks from Q to Mumbai. For Bangalore, it transfers 18% of managers each from R and S and 10% clerks each from S and T. Find the sum of total number of employees of Mumbai and Bangalore. (No hiring from outside is done.)

For P,
No. of employees = 0.12*6000 = 720
No. of managers = 720*5/12 = 300
No. of clerks = 720*7/12 = 420
Similarly we can calculate the values for the rest of the departments and tabulate the results as follows:

For Mumbai:
No. of managers = 0.2*300 = 60
No. of clerks = 0.14*600 = 84
Total employees = 60 + 84 = 144
For Bangalore:
No. of managers = 0.18*(600 + 600) = 216
No. of clerks = 0.1*(480 + 750) = 123
Total employees = 216 + 123 = 339
Required Sum = 144 + 339 = 483
