Please explain me Isotonic, Hypotonic & Hypertonic solution.
# Hypo (below /less concentration) ,,, Hyper (high concentration),,,,,ISO (Same concentration) ====== W. r. t. to other solution. ππππππTypes of solution : on the basis of their osmotic pressure solution are of 3 types 1) hypotonic solution :the solution which have lower molar concentration and so lower osmotic pressure than other solution is called as hypotonic solution to other solution .for example 0.05 M solution has osmotic pressure lower than that of 0.1 M urea solution therefore 0.05 M sucrose solution is hypotonic with 0.1 M urea solution.2) hypertonic solution :the solution which have higher molar concentration and so higher osmotic pressure than other solution is called as hypertonic solution to other solution.for example 0.1 M urea solution exerts higher osmotic pressure than 0.05 M sucrose solution hence 0.1 M urea solution is hypertonic to 0.05 M solution.3) isotonic / isomotic solution : two or more solution having same molar concentration and so same osmotic pressure at given temperature are called as isotonic solutions.for example 0.05 M (3.0 g L^ -1 )urea solution and 0.05M(17.19 g L^ -1) .sucrose solution are isotonic because their are osmotic pressure are the same if these solutions are separated by a semipermeable membrane there is no flow of solvent in either direction.#I am also giving some important points to you for your better understanding I) 0.91 % solution of NaCl in water colled saline water is isotonic with respect to human blood hence medicines are mixed with saline water before injected into veins this prevents the shrinking and swelling or bursting of blood cells ii ) however 0.95 % of NaCl solution is hypertonic solution and when RBCs are placed in the solution water comes out of the cell and thus cell undergoes shrinking (plasmolysis) .iii) when RBCs are place in distilled water (hypotonic )then Water flows into the cell and does swelling or bursting text place (hemolysis )the pressure development inside the cell due to flow of water in it is called turgor pressure
Please explain me Isotonic, Hypotonic & Hypertonic solution.
These all are comparable terms suppose we take in one vessel water named 1 and in other glucose waternamed 2 thanisotonic if both solution have same concentrationhere it cant be isotonic in examplehypotonicif one of solution having low concentration1 is hypotonichypertonic other solution not hypotonic and having high concentration2 is hypertonicππππππππππ―π―π―π―π―π―
