    - Radius of Earth, R
    - Height of platform, 3R
    - Escape velocity from surface of Earth, ve

    Formula for Escape Velocity:
    Escape velocity from a planet is given by the formula:
    v = sqrt(2gR), where g is acceleration due to gravity and R is radius of the planet.

    Escape Velocity at Height 3R:
    - At height 3R, the acceleration due to gravity, g' = g/16 (g decreases as we move away from the Earth's surface)
    - Escape velocity at height 3R, v' = sqrt(2g'R) = sqrt(2(g/16)3R) = (1/4)sqrt(2gR) = (1/4)ve

    Relation between Escape Velocities:
    - v' = fve
    - (1/4)ve = fve
    - f = 1/4
    Therefore, the value of f is 0.25 or 0.50.
