Vijay while purchasing purchased 1300gm instead of 1000gm
While selling he sells 800gm instead of 1000gm
Formula used:
Gain % = ( Gain/C.P) ×100
Let cost price of 1000gm = Rs. 1000
But, Vijay purchased 1300gm instead of 1000gm
So, cost price of 1300gm = Rs. 1000
Now, while selling he is giving 800gm instead of 1000gm
And, he is selling product at cost price
So, S.P of 800gm = Rs. 1000
Then, S.P of 1300gm = Rs. (1000/800)×1300
⇒ S.P of 1300gm = Rs. 1625
Now, gain = Rs. 1625− Rs. 1000
⇒ Gain = Rs. 625
Gain % = (Gain/C.P.)×100
⇒ Gain % = (625/1000)×100
⇒ 62.5%

So, S.P of 800gm = Rs. 1000
Then, S.P of 1300gm = Rs. (1000/800)×1300
⇒ S.P of 1300gm = Rs. 1625
Now, gain = Rs. 1625− Rs. 1000
⇒ Gain = Rs. 625
Gain % = (Gain/C.P.)×100
⇒ Gain % = (625/1000)×100
⇒ 62.5%
