One litre of gas A at two atmospheric pressure and two litres of gas B...
Given Data:
- Volume of gas A = 1 litre
- Pressure of gas A = 2 atm
- Volume of gas B = 2 litres
- Pressure of gas B = 3 atm
- Total volume of the flask = 4 litres

Solution:
- According to the ideal gas law, PV = nRT
- For gas A: P1V1 = n1RT
- For gas B: P2V2 = n2RT

Calculating moles of gas A and B:
- n1 = (P1V1) / RT = (2 * 1) / (0.0821 * T) = 2 / (0.0821 * T)
- n2 = (P2V2) / RT = (3 * 2) / (0.0821 * T) = 6 / (0.0821 * T)

Total moles of the mixture:
- Total moles = n1 + n2 = 2 / (0.0821 * T) + 6 / (0.0821 * T) = 8 / (0.0821 * T)

Calculating final pressure of the mixture:
- Using the total moles and total volume: P * 4 = (8 / (0.0821 * T)) * T * 0.0821 * 298
- P = (8 / 298) * 0.0821 = 2.19 atm
Therefore, the final pressure of the gaseous mixture is approximately 2.0 atmospheres.
