    Isotropic and super cooled liquids.

  • b)
    Isoenthalpic and superheated liquids.

  • c)
    Anisotropic and super cooled liquids.

  • d)
    Isotropic and superheated solids.

Correct answer is option 'A'. Can you explain this answer?
Verified Answer
Amorphous solids are also known as:a)Isotropic and super cooled liquid...

  • Amorphous solids are isotropic in nature.

  • The structure of amorphous solids is similar to that of liquids.

  • Hence, these are also called pseudo solids or supercooled liquids.

  • Isotropy of amorphous solids is due to the same irregular arrangement of constituent particles along with all the directions.

  • Cotton candy is a classic example of amorphous solids.

Amorphous solids are also known as:a)Isotropic and super cooled liquid...
Amorphous solid means that a lacking form... it is not true solid means it is not behave like a solid becuse it has fluidity nature so it is pseudo solid .. and it is isotropic in nature because ut has long range order means its physical properties are same in all dir.. till long time .. but in crystalline solid short range order makes the physical property , till a short time ,same not a long time .. hence it is isotropic...... now, since liquid. freezes to form ice which is cooled liquid but amorphous solid is a solid so it make the name is supercooled liquid......
