Can you explain the answer of this question below:The neck and bottom ...
Given:
Radius of neck of bottle, r1 = 3 cm
Radius of bottom of bottle, r2 = 15 cm
Force applied on cork, F1 = 12 N

To find: Force exerted on the bottom of the bottle, F2

Formula used: Pressure = Force / Area

Calculation:
1. Area of neck of bottle, A1 = πr1²
= π(3)²
= 28.27 cm²

2. Area of bottom of bottle, A2 = πr2²
= π(15)²
= 706.86 cm²

3. Pressure at the neck of the bottle, P1 = F1 / A1
= 12 / 28.27
= 0.424 N/cm²

4. Using Pascal's law, Pressure at the bottom of the bottle, P2 = P1
= 0.424 N/cm²

5. Force exerted on the bottom of the bottle, F2 = P2 x A2
= 0.424 x 706.86
= 299.99 N

Therefore, the force exerted on the bottom of the bottle is approximately 300 N, which is option C.
