Solution:




Given:
- Length of the rope = 60 cm
- One piece used to form a rectangle with length = 12 cm and width = 6 cm




Finding the length of each side of the hexagon:

- Let the length of the hexagon be x cm
- The remaining length of the rope after forming the rectangle = 60 cm - (12 cm + 6 cm) = 42 cm

- The perimeter of a hexagon = 6 * x
- The perimeter of the hexagon should be equal to the remaining length of the rope i.e. 42 cm
- Therefore, 6 * x = 42 cm
- x = 42 cm / 6 = 7 cm




Therefore, each side of the hexagon is 7 cm long.
