My Version of the Story of the Camel and its Hump
The Camel's Request for a Hump:
The story begins with a camel who was tired of carrying heavy loads across the desert. The camel goes to the Creator and requests for a hump so that it can store water and survive longer in the harsh desert environment.
The Creator Grants the Camel's Wish:
Impressed by the camel's determination, the Creator grants its wish and gives it a large, water-storing hump on its back. The camel is overjoyed and sets off on its journey with renewed strength and confidence.
The Camel's Arrogance:
However, as time passes, the camel becomes arrogant and starts boasting about its hump to the other animals in the desert. It looks down upon those who do not have a hump like itself, thinking that it is superior because of its special gift.
The Camel's Punishment:
One day, during a particularly harsh sandstorm, the camel refuses to share its water with a group of thirsty animals who are in need. The Creator witnesses this selfish act and decides to teach the camel a lesson.
The Creator Takes Away the Camel's Hump:
In a swift move, the Creator takes away the camel's hump, leaving it without the water it had been relying on. The camel is devastated and learns the hard way that arrogance and selfishness have consequences.
The Moral of the Story:
The story teaches us the importance of humility, gratitude, and kindness. We should never take our blessings for granted and should always be willing to help others in need, regardless of our own circumstances.
