There are two possibilities 2,6,18,30 OR 32,16,8,0 first three numbers can be written as a ar ar^2 last three numbers are in AP of which difference d is ar^2-ar so fourth number is ar+2(ar^2-ar)=2ar^2-ar so as you say a(1+2r^2-r)=32 .......(1) ar+ar^2=24….............(2) dividing one by two will give quadratic equation in r solving it will give r=1/2,3 r=1/2 then a=32 r=3 then a=2 put values of a and r and get the numbersss.
