Verified Answer
An object travels 24 meters in 4 seconds and then another 15 meters in...
Given:
Distance travelled by the object in 4 sec = 24 m
Distance travelled by the object in 2 sec = 15 m
Formula used:
Distance = Speed × time
Average speed = Total distance/Total time
Calculation:
Total distance travelled by the object = 24 + 15 = 39 m
Total time taken = 4 + 2 = 6 sec
Average speed = 39/6
⇒ 6.5 m/s
∴ The average speed of the object is 6.5 m/s.
