1) Possible
When a body is thrown vertically upward in space, then at the highest point, thebody has zero velocity but the acceleration of the body will be equal to theacceleration due to gravity. ...

2)
possible
A body moving horizontally with an acceleration in vertical direction is possible in a projectile motion.
in projection bod follows parabolic path with acceleration acting verticallly downwards(gravity) at time of decsent n spplied acc.(time of acent)

3)
Yes, for e.g. in a circular motion if one is moving with a constant speed, the motion is still said to be accelerated motion as the dirction of velocity changes at every point of the path.

Which of the following situations are not possible?a)A body moving wit...
Explanation:
To understand which situation is not possible, we need to analyze each situation separately.

a) A body moving with constant acceleration but with zero velocity:
This situation is not possible because if a body has acceleration, it means its velocity is changing. Therefore, a body cannot have constant acceleration and zero velocity at the same time.

b) A body moving horizontally with an acceleration in vertical direction:
This situation is not possible because the direction of acceleration and velocity should be the same for a body to move in a straight line. If the acceleration is in the vertical direction and the velocity is in the horizontal direction, then the body will not move in a straight line.

c) A body moving with a constant velocity in an accelerated motion:
This situation is not possible because if a body is accelerating, it means its velocity is changing. Therefore, a body cannot have a constant velocity and be in an accelerated motion at the same time.

d) All of these:
This option is incorrect because situation a) and b) are not possible, but situation c) is possible.

Therefore, the correct answer is option C) A body moving with a constant velocity in an accelerated motion.

(a) Object moving in a certain direction with an acceleration in perpendicular direction is possible in case of circular motion. When an object moves on a circular path its direction is along the tangent of the circle but the centripetal acceleration is towards the radius of the circle. We know that a tangent always makes a right angle with the radius; so when an object is in circular motion the acceleration and velocity are in mutually perpendicular direction.

(b) The word acceleration implies a change in the object's velocity. One example of this is vertical particle projection. When an object is thrown upwards the maximum height velocity of the body is zero but constant acceleration due to gravity is still working.

(c) It is not possible an object moving with variable speed and uniform velocity as the uniform velocity means the speed and direction are constant.
