The quantity which remains unchanged during the flight of an oblique p...
Explanation:
An oblique projectile is an object that is projected at an angle to the horizontal. During its flight, the projectile experiences both horizontal and vertical components of motion, which are independent of each other.

The horizontal component of velocity remains constant throughout the flight of an oblique projectile, provided that there are no external forces acting on it. This is because there are no horizontal forces acting on the projectile, and hence, there is no acceleration in the horizontal direction. Therefore, the horizontal component of velocity remains unchanged.

On the other hand, the vertical component of velocity changes continuously during the flight of the projectile, due to the force of gravity acting on it. As the projectile moves upward, the vertical component of velocity decreases until it reaches its maximum height, where it momentarily becomes zero. As the projectile falls back to the ground, the vertical component of velocity increases again until it reaches its initial value just before it hits the ground.

Similarly, the vertical component of acceleration is not constant during the flight of the projectile, due to the force of gravity acting on it. The vertical component of acceleration is initially equal to g, the acceleration due to gravity, and it decreases as the projectile moves upward. At the maximum height of the projectile, the vertical component of acceleration becomes zero, and as the projectile falls back to the ground, the vertical component of acceleration increases again until it reaches its initial value just before it hits the ground.

Therefore, the quantity which remains unchanged during the flight of an oblique projectile is the horizontal component of velocity.
