Mass is a measure of its inertia the mass of an object is constant and doesn't change under different conditions. thus, mass of an object doesn't change from place to place it means that mass of a given object remains unchanged at all places on the Earth, on other planets and the moon and even in outer space whereas the weight of an object is the force of gravitational attraction of the Earth on the object. in other words the weight of an object is the force with which it is attracted towards the earth. the weight of an object changes from place to place and also going on any other planet and the moon
