- In Threshing, grains are loosened and removed from the stalk, by striking it against a stone (traditional method). Modern threshing machines carry out this process faster and in a contained environment.
Winnowing: it is the process of removing the unwanted husk from the grains. It is done by pouring the grains from a height on a windy day when the grains fall on the ground and the chaff is blown away.

Diffrence between Kharif crops and Rabi crops
Kharif crops can be described as the crops which are sown with the beginning of the rainy season.

Rabi crops are the crops that are sown after the end of the monsoon, i.e. during the winter season.

- It requires warm climate for seed germination and cold climate to grow
