Subject: Unsanitary Condition in Model Town Extension
Sir,
I am writing to your good self to express my deep concern and anguish over the very critical issue of Insanitary Condition in our colony Model Town Extension. Our locality is a literal hell of squalor, garbage heaps, broken roads, overflowing manholes, stagnated water, and reeking smell. As a result malaria, dengue, viral fever are quite rampant. Many residents of our colony had to be hospitalized on account of these diseases.
The inefficiency of Municipal authorities is so hopeless; in spite of repeated requests, reminders and complaints, no action has been taken to relive us of our distress. Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take speedy measures to bail us out of our plight. Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Sulekha Bhardwaj

Dear Editor,
I am writing to bring your attention to the deplorable sanitary conditions prevailing in our locality. It is a matter of great concern that despite numerous complaints, no action has been taken to address this issue.
Lack of Proper Waste Management:
One of the primary concerns is the lack of proper waste management in our locality. Garbage bins are overflowing, and the waste is scattered all around, emitting a foul smell. Due to this, stray animals often rummage through the garbage, spreading the waste further and posing a health hazard to the residents.
Inadequate Public Toilets:
Another pressing issue is the inadequate provision of public toilets. The existing ones are in a dilapidated condition and are unusable. This forces individuals to relieve themselves in open spaces, contributing to the unhygienic environment. Moreover, the absence of separate toilets for men and women compromises the privacy and safety of individuals.
Stagnant Water and Mosquito Breeding:
There are several areas in our locality where stagnant water accumulates, creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes. This not only leads to the spread of diseases like dengue and malaria but also causes immense inconvenience to the residents due to the constant buzzing and biting of mosquitoes.
Insufficient Drainage System:
The poor drainage system exacerbates the unsanitary conditions in our locality. During the monsoon season, the streets get flooded, causing waterlogging and making it difficult for pedestrians and vehicles to navigate. The stagnant water becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes and leads to the spread of water-borne diseases.
Health Risks and Quality of Life:
The unsanitary conditions in our locality pose significant health risks to the residents. The prevalence of diseases and infections is much higher in areas with poor sanitation. Moreover, the foul odor and unclean surroundings greatly affect the quality of life, leading to increased stress and discomfort among the residents.
Conclusion:
In light of the aforementioned issues, I urge the concerned authorities to take immediate action to improve the sanitary conditions in our locality. It is crucial to implement a proper waste management system, repair existing public toilets, clear stagnant water, and improve the drainage system. These steps will not only enhance the overall cleanliness of the area but also contribute to the health and well-being of the residents.
Yours sincerely,
