a) The poet is referring to people who indulge in the willful and wanton destruction of nature and wage green wars.
b)  The poet wishes us to be still, to cease our hurried and confused movements and try to be calm for a change rather than being restless all the time. The poet suggests that there is life in nature under apparent stillness through the example of the earth which seems dead but later proves to be alive. The earth is a living creature but it keeps still and does not make a noise, we do not need proof for its life because it gives life to everything around it and on it. In the context of the poem, stillness indicates a harmony with nature, being attuned to the inner workings of this universe whereas keeping quiet would refer to a willful resolution to maintain silence. One has to make an effort to keep quiet while stillness means a quietness that comes from attaining peace, in tune with the world. The poet urges us to keep quiet because we seemed to have lost our ability to hear the still, sad music of humanity.
c) No matter which side wins or loses, the losses on both sides are so immense that even those who are victorious are aware of the fact that their victory has come at a huge cost, in terms of both life and property.

People who wage green wars
The people who wage green wars are individuals or groups who engage in warfare using environmentally destructive tactics such as using chemical or biological weapons, polluting the air or water, or causing widespread deforestation. These tactics aim to inflict maximum damage to the natural environment and exploit its resources for strategic purposes. Such individuals or groups may be driven by political, economic, or ideological motivations.

The effect of introspection
The few moments of introspection can have a profound effect on the people who wage green wars. Introspection refers to the act of examining one's own thoughts, feelings, and motives. It is a process that encourages self-reflection and self-awareness. When individuals engage in introspection, they may begin to question the morality and consequences of their actions, leading to a potential shift in their mindset and behavior.

By taking the time to reflect on their involvement in green wars, individuals may experience a range of emotions such as guilt, remorse, or empathy. They may start to recognize the devastating impact their actions have on the environment, the loss of innocent lives, and the long-term consequences for future generations. This introspective process can potentially awaken a sense of responsibility and a desire for change within these individuals.

The irony of 'Victory with no survivors'
The phrase "Victory with no survivors" is inherently ironic as it contradicts the conventional understanding of victory in warfare. Typically, victory is associated with the defeat of the enemy, while survivors are those who have managed to survive the conflict. However, in the context of the statement, the irony lies in the fact that the victory being sought is so devastating that it leaves no survivors.

This phrase emphasizes the extreme and destructive nature of the green wars being waged. It suggests that the goal of these wars is not simply to defeat the enemy, but rather to annihilate them completely. The irony lies in the paradoxical notion that achieving victory through such destructive means ultimately renders the concept of victory meaningless. If there are no survivors, there is no one left to celebrate or benefit from the victory.

Additionally, the phrase also underscores the disregard for human life and the environment that characterizes these green wars. It highlights the ruthless and inhumane tactics employed by those who wage these wars, as they prioritize achieving their goals over the preservation of life and the well-being of the natural world.
