Please answer :- difference between mass and weight ?
Mass of an object is the measure of its inertia .Mass of an object *doesn't change from place to place It is measured in kilogram, gram, pound, ton, quintal etc. It is measured using a BEAM BALANCEMass of an object is also called WEIGH OF THE OBJECT
Weight of an object is the force due to gravity with which it is attracted towards the surface of the Earth It is measured in product of mass of the object and Acceleration due to Gravity at that point. It is measured in NEWTON. It is measured using a SPRING BALANCE
DIFFERENCES
*Mass remains constant whereas Weight can be variable
*Mass is a scaler quantity and Weight is a vector quantity
*Mass is measured in kilogram gram etc and Weight is measured in NEWTON
*Mass cannot be ZERO but weight can be ZERO
*Mass is measured using a BEAM BALANCE and Weight is measured using a SPRING BALANCE
Please answer :- difference between mass and weight ?
The differences are:- MASS:- 1) Mass is the total content of the body which measures the inertia of a body.2) Mass is a scalar quantity and the SI unit of mass is kilogram.3) Irrespective to the position of the body in universe, mass always remain constant every where. 4) The mass of a body cannot be zero.
WEIGHT:- 1) The weight of an object is the force with which it is attracted towards the Earth. 2) Weight is a vector quantity and its SI unite is newton. 3) Weight of an object is not constant, it changes from place to place. 4) In space, where (g) = 0, weight of an object is zero.
