WRITE A DEBATE FOR AND AGAINST THE TOPIC -" MOTHERS SHOULD STAY AT HOM...
If a mother stays home, the risk of both parents dying and leaving children orphaned is reduced. Man is mortal. If something happens and both working parents die while outside the home, who will take responsibility for those orphaned children? That's why mothers should stay at home and look after their children. Men are harder workers, so they're the better choice to hold a job. Plus, by having the mother at home raising the children, have a higher chance of being more righteous and well-behaved. As early childhood is the most formative period of development for a child it is important that a mother has as much time to devote to her children as possible. By staying at home mothers could ensure that the next generation had the best start in life, hopefully averting future problems and providing a benefit to society as a whole.

Debate: Mothers should stay at home and look after their children

Introduction:
The debate regarding whether mothers should stay at home and look after their children is a contentious one. On one hand, proponents argue that a mother's presence is crucial for a child's development and well-being, while on the other hand, opponents believe that women should have the freedom to pursue their careers and ambitions while relying on alternative childcare options.

For:
1. Bonding and emotional support: Mothers staying at home can provide a nurturing environment where children can develop strong emotional bonds. This can positively impact their social and emotional development in the long run.
2. Stability and consistency: Children thrive on routine and stability. Having a consistent caregiver who understands their needs can provide a sense of security and stability, which is essential for healthy development.
3. Parental values and morals: Mothers often play a significant role in instilling values, ethics, and morals in their children. By being present and actively involved in their upbringing, mothers can shape their children's character and help them become responsible individuals.
4. Reduced stress and anxiety: For working mothers, juggling career and childcare responsibilities can be overwhelming. By staying at home, mothers can reduce stress and anxiety, allowing them to focus on their children's well-being.

Against:
1. Equal opportunities: It is essential to provide equal opportunities for both men and women. By encouraging mothers to stay at home, we perpetuate traditional gender roles and hinder progress towards gender equality in society.
2. Financial independence: By pursuing careers, women can achieve financial independence, which empowers them and contributes to their overall well-being. This independence can also serve as a role model for their children, teaching them the importance of hard work and self-sufficiency.
3. Professional growth and fulfillment: Many women have aspirations beyond being a stay-at-home mother. Allowing them to pursue their careers can lead to personal fulfillment and contribute to society through their professional expertise.
4. Diverse role models: Children benefit from exposure to diverse role models. By interacting with individuals from various backgrounds and professions, children develop broader perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Conclusion:
The debate surrounding whether mothers should stay at home and look after their children is complex and multifaceted. While there are undeniable benefits to a mother's presence in a child's life, it is crucial to consider the importance of gender equality, financial independence, and diverse role models. Ultimately, the decision should be based on individual circumstances, values, and the well-being of both the mother and the child.

Childhood obesity increased from 5% in 1964 to about 13% in 1994. Today it’s about 20%, and rising. Children, on average, spend five to six hours a day involved in sedentary activities like watching TV, using the computer, and playing video games, which is partly to blame for this rising rate. Maybe it wouldn’t matter if they were active enough at other times, but most of them aren’t.To make matters worse, children are bombarded with television advertisements for fast food chains and other providers of high-fat, high-sugar meals and snacks. These highly effective advertising campaigns, combined with a physically inactive lifestyle, have produced a generation of children who are at high risk for medical conditions associated with obesity. The main health threat is the early development of type 2 diabetes (adult onset), particularly in children with a family history of the disease. Doctors report an increase in the number of young adolescents developing type 2 diabetes, which can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease, stroke, limb amputations, and blindness. People who develop diabetes in adolescence face a decreased quality of life and a shorter life expectancy, particularly if the disease progresses without treatment. It’s a scary prospect for our children, but in many cases, obesity and diabetes are preventable. When kids spend most of their free time sitting in front of TVs and computers, they aren’t outside running, jumping, or participating in team sports that would keep their weight down. Parents should set limits on the time their children spend in passive activities. Pediatricians recommend restricting children to one or two hours a day in front of the TV and computer combined, although older children may need additional time for learning activities.Parent involvement remains the most important key to healthy diets for our children. Programs to educate parents about nutrition are essential. Fast foods should be eaten only in moderation.
