Compare and Contrast Inner and Outer Planets

Inner and Outer planets have similarities and differences. they both have alot in common and they also have many differences. they all have unique facts about all of them.
The Inner and Outer Planets are similar in many ways. They are planets, of course. they are all in our our gravitational pull so they are “Attracted” to the sun. If there was no gravitational pull then Earth would have no sun and we wouldn’t exist! And they are all in the same solar system. The inner and Outer both have 4 Planets each. The Inner Planets have Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Earth! While the Outer planets have Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
The Inner and Outer planets are also so very different! the Inner planets are small while the outer planets are bigger. And the Inner planets are warmer because they are closer to the sun and the sun is 5504.85 degrees celsius. so that makes the inner planets warmer. But the outer planets are colder because they are farther away. the farthest planet away from the sun is Neptune and it’s 4,503,000,000 km away from the sun!

So as you can see the Inner and Outer planets have alot  similarities and differences.

- They have longer orbital periods and revolve around the Sun at a slower rate.
- The outer planets have numerous moons and ring systems.
- They have lower average temperatures compared to the inner planets due to their distance from the Sun.
- The outer planets have fluid or slushy interiors with no distinct solid surface.
- Jupiter and Saturn are classified as gas giants, while Uranus and Neptune are classified as ice giants due to their higher proportion of volatile compounds.
