They have long, branching extensions called dendrites and axons, which allow them to communicate with other cells. On the other hand, red blood cells are responsible for carrying oxygen to different parts of the body. They have a unique biconcave shape and lack a nucleus, enabling them to carry more oxygen.
Additionally, muscle cells are specialized for contraction and movement, while skin cells serve as a protective barrier. Liver cells, called hepatocytes, are involved in detoxification and metabolism, while pancreatic cells produce and release insulin.
These examples illustrate the diversity of cell types in the body, each with their own unique structure and function. Therefore, it can be concluded that all cells in the body are not identical.
