the trade routes from ancient and modern time play very imp role in economic development of country . we can see in ancient times india was called as golden bird, but now india is only a developing country because britishers completely destyoryed the trading system in india, they made several bans on indian trading, they used to sell indian things in world and india at a high cost while brought raw materials for them from indian traders on a low cost and manufactured it in england,World famous Indian handicrafts and cottage industries were totally destroyed by the advent of cheap British manufactures in India ,cottage industries in India were totally destroyed due to the colonial strategy followed by the British rulers,a lot of british items were imported to india and indian exports deteriorated continuosly....but in ancient times before colonialism india exported a lot of things, spices etc..and was a rich country...and all this was becoz of the developed trade routes that trading was possible....today it is very much developed that world is continuously bcoming more developed....nearer like a big family...and in era of commercialisation and globalisation trade routes play role of very important networks.... Innovative transportation of modern times includes pipeline transport and the relatively well-known trade involving rail routes, automobiles, and cargo airlines....if u talk about earlier times u can name trade routes like silk road, trans sahran road,etc...and in modern times...they r railways, air routes etc
